Jeanine Santucci, Intern with Washington City Paper

As an aspiring advocacy journalist, Jeanine is passionate about uplifting traditionally underrepresented narratives through her writing. During her time at Georgetown, she has written about student activism for campus paper The Hoya and served a year as its copy chief. She went on to intern with Street Sense Media, where she wrote about health care issues for those in poverty or experiencing homelessness in D.C. She was later a correspondent for USA TODAY’s College network, where she wrote news features on topics relevant to college students. She is currently interning with Washington City Paper, writing about local news, arts, and culture.
